The Minor Basilica of St. Lorenzo Ruiz and Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Parish is most commonly known as Binondo Church. It is under the jurisdiction of the Archdiocese of Manila.

How to go here using Public Transportation:
  • If you are coming from the North or South: You may ride the LRT-1 and alight off at Carriedo Station. From Carriedo,go to Ongpin Street (in front of Sta. Cruz Church) and from there, you can ride a pedicab or walk going to Binondo Church.
  • If you are coming from the East (Rizal, Antipolo Area): You may ride the LRT-2 and alight off in Recto Station. From Recto, ride a Jeepney bound to Divisoria. From Divisoria (Tutuban), you can either ride a pedicab or just walk going to the Church.

  1. One of the oldest catholic churches in the Philippines, the Minor Basilica of San Lorenzo Ruiz, also known to many as the Binondo Church, was built in 1596. Its patron saint, San Lorenzo Ruiz, is the first Filipino saint. Living under the Dominican priests, he served as a sacristan in the convent of Binondo church in his early years.

  2. Hope this church would have an honest to goodness restoration, at present, it doesn't look that good, like a page from the comics, as the photos suggest.
