MINOR BASILICA OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION (Manila Cathedral), Manila, Philippines

The Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, commonly known at the Manila Cathedral, is located in Cabildo corner Beaterio Streets, Intramuros, Manila. The Cathedral is considered as the "Mother of all Churches" in the Philippines. It is the official church of the Archbishop of Manila.

How to go here using public transportation:
  • If you are coming from the North (Monumento Area):
    • Option 1: You may ride the LRT and alight off at Cariedo Station. From there, look for Jeepneys bound to PIER. Ask the driver to bring you to the Manila Cathedral.
    •  Option 2: You may ride the LRT and alight off at Cariedo Station. From there, look for Jeepneys bound to MABINI. Ask the driver to drop you at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM). From there, you can just walk or ride a pedicab going to the Manila Cathedral.
  • If you are coming from the South (Baclaran Area):
    • Option 1: You may ride the LRT and alight off at Cariedo Station. From there, look for Jeepneys bound to PIER. Ask the driver to bring you to the Manila Cathedral.
    • You may ride the LRT and alight off at Central Terminal Station. From there, walk towards Manila City Hall and use the underpass going to Intramuros (MAPUA Gate). From there, you can just walk or ride a pedicab going to the Manila Cathedral.

PS: Special Thanks to my friends, Dean Bascon and Tyran Pitagan, for allowing me to use their photos of the newly-renovated Cathedral.
